NAMPO 2017 - EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
» Grain SA's 51st NAMPO Harvest Day kicks off in just over a week's time and the grounds is a hive of activity as the more than 700 exhibitors at this year's show, prepare for this integral agricultural event taking place from 16 to 19 May at NAMPO Park.
NAMPO's theme for the year is "Unfold the Future". This reflects Grain SA's goal of creating a platform that provides the latest innovation, technology and information to the agricultural industry. In addition, NAMPO Harvest Day is one of Grain SA's best opportunities to contribute to sustainable food production in South- and Southern Africa, by equipping the next generation of farmers to cope with the many technical, economic and marketing challenges.

NAMPO Entry Tickets
The trusted electronic Ticketpro-access system is once again being used at NAMPO, and members' email instructions have been sent with the necessary links to print your entry tickets. If you have not yet received your tickets, please contact Elray de Klerk on 086 004 7246 or elray@grainsa.co.za.
Grain SA, as a result of the drought season, calculated members' NAMPO entry ticket benefit, on a three-year average. Thus, Grain SA members who have been struggling due to the drought during the previous marketing season and were unable to pay membership fees, still received the benefit of a paid-up member on levies collected over the three-year average.
Guests are encouraged to purchase their NAMPO tickets at a discounted rate online at www.ticketpros.co.za. The gates open daily from 07:00 to 17:00 with exclusive free parking for our members and enough security on the premises. Do not forget pets, bicycles, cars or motorbikes will not be allowed on site.
Grain SA Experience Centre & Member's Hall
Grain SA members are our top priority and the Harvest Day is the place to celebrate. The customary exhibition area will this year be unveiled as the Grain SA and NAMPO Experience Centre, where our members and visitors can view Grain SA's focus areas. In addition, young and old can visit the movie theatre for a visual presentation of Grain SA and its activities.
Another first, is the availability of NAMPO branded- and promotional items which will be offered for sale - ensure you do not miss it. We look forward to welcoming you to the Member's Hall.
A brand new Women's Programme
The NAMPO Women's Programme is back and will be presented at the GL Events tent next to the tea garden every day from 09:45 to 13:00. VIA TV is part of this brand new offering and celebrities such as Elma Postma, Arina du Plessis (food editor of Landbouweekblad), Lizz Meiring and more will be part of this programme. The 4x4 track's little brother has arrived
NAMPO boasts a brand new "updated" 4x4 track for unforgettable action-filled shows. Old obstacles have been upgraded and a number of new challenges have been added. And to top everything, there is a new, smaller track designed and built especially for motorcycles, four-wheel motorcycles and side-by-side's. This track is located near Gate 2, next to the seed plots.
And any visitor can now be an auctioneer
Toyota, Veeplaas and Grain SA's international competition for young auctioneers are being presented at this level for the firth time. It is one of the few opportunities in the world where countries' young auctioneers can compete with each other. Usually it's just the country's championship with international participation. South Africa's young auctioneer of the year, Steven Mathews, takes part against auctioneers from Namibia, Botswana, Argentina and America. The competition is presented from Tuesday to Thursday every day at 14:00 to 16:00 in the auction complex.
Your NAMPO-App
The 2017 upgrade of the popular NAMPO application will also be available soon. Notifications will be sent through the application for upgrading. Visitors will be able to access information about products from participating exhibitors, the daily programme, news, the site map, etc. on the application.
